Why I Switched to Hypoallergenic Mascara for Sensitive Eyes

My favorite part of doing my makeup has always been accentuating my green eyes. I loved wandering through Ulta or Sephora, doing a completely necessary makeup haul and testing the latest and greatest mascaras.

Unfortunately, my eyes eventually decided they were no longer interested in participating.

They started getting red, watery and irritated, and the problem progressively worsened. After speaking with my eye doctor, I made two changes: I switched from monthly contact lenses to daily lenses, and I replaced my regular mascara with one made for sensitive eyes.

I must say, it worked like magic. Crisis averted!

The mascara I switched to is the Clinique Lash Power Mascara Long-Wearing Tubing Formula. It gives my lashes a clean, defined look, coats every lash and adds length without feeling heavy. Best of all, I can accentuate my green eyes again without them immediately staging a protest.
